Queens Village & Rosedale
Neighborhood Intelligence

Queens Village and Rosedale make up Queens Community District 13, a large suburban-style residential district at the far southeastern corner of Queens along the Nassau County border. The district is known for its high homeownership rate — among the highest in Queens — and its predominantly Black and Caribbean-American population of owner-occupied one- and two-family homes. Cambria Heights, Springfield Gardens, and Laurelton round out the sub-communities within the CD.

Rosedale at the southern end borders marshland and the Nassau County line, with the area retaining a quiet, semi-suburban character. Springfield Gardens contains Springfield Park, one of the CD's largest green spaces. The district has no subway service and is served primarily by LIRR, with stations at Queens Village (Hempstead Branch/Main Line), Rosedale, and Laurelton (Far Rockaway Branch), supplementing an extensive local bus network.
