Crimes cover the Capitol Hill Community Reporting Area (the boundary outlined on the map), over the last 12 months. Crime is compared per resident (rate), so a large, busy area can have a high total but a lower rate; crash and violation counts are compared to the average Seattle neighborhood. Source: City of Seattle open data (data.seattle.gov). SPD withholds the location of sensitive offenses: about 36% of violent offenses over the last six months (nearly all rapes and homicides, about a third of aggravated assaults, and one in six robberies) carry no location in the public data, so they cannot be placed near an address. The University of Washington campus is policed by UWPD and is not covered by this feed. Counts here include only offenses with a location and understate violent crime. The Port of Seattle Police (Sea-Tac and the seaport) and the King County Sheriff’s Office (Boeing Field) have their own jurisdictions and are not in this feed. SDOT back-fills collision records for about three months, so crash counts end 90 days before the latest record and the newest collisions are not yet included. The feed has no property-damage-only collisions in recent months, so counts are not comparable to cities that publish them. Open data updates on a delay, so the most recent records may be incomplete. For general information only — not legal, financial, or real-estate advice.

The Rental Property At 1204, 1208, And 1210 E Denny Way Is Not Registered With The City Under Rental Registration (Rrio). I Searched The City'S Records And Found No Registration And Confirmed This With City Compliance By Phone On June 23, 2026. The Owner Admitted In Writing That There Is No Registered Management Company. Because It Is Unregistered, It Has Likely Gone Without The Required Safety Inspection For The Owners' 10-Plus Years Of Ownership. The Owners, Han Lin And Alessandro Contenti1
Many Of The Handrails In This Building Are Unstable Or Partially Broken. I Sent An Email Bringing This Issue Up To The Apartment Manger On June 14th, But Nothing Has Been Done, Nor Have There Been Any Plans To Fix The Handrails. The Attachments In The Front Stairwell In Particularly Are Bad. You Can Put Light Pressure On The Handrail And See The Screws Pulling Out Of The Wall In Some Places. These Have Been Unsteady And Hazardous Since I Moved In During November Of 2025.1
The Unit'S Condition Has Continued To Degrade With Little Action From The Landlord. Several Windows Have Failed, Some Even Having Visible Gaps To The Outdoors, And One Sliding Door Has Split Apart Such That It Does Not Seal. There Is A Drain That Leaks Constantly Onto Our Patio And Our Landlord Refuses To Fix. During The Winter Months, The Leak Becomes Gigantic Pieces Of Ice That Crash Down Directly In Front Of The Door. The Falling Ice Has Broken Tables, Bird Feeders, Planters, Lights (Both On The Structure And Off) And I Fear What It Would Do Should Someone Be Standing Beneath It At The Wrong Time.
