Explore Raleigh building permits, RPD crime data and Residential-10 zoning in Five Points, around Glenwood Avenue and Whitaker Mill Road.
Search this neighborhoodFive Points takes its name from the intersection on Glenwood Avenue, and this outline covers the neighborhoods east of it: the blocks around Roanoke Park and Whitaker Mill Road, running to Wake Forest Road and Capital Boulevard. About half of it is Residential-10 land, and about a fifth along Capital Boulevard is industrial mixed use.
Roanoke Park and the Middle Crabtree Creek Trail are inside it, and the Neuse River Brewing Company is on Pershing Road. GoRaleigh routes 2 and 14 serve the area. The boundary is built from census block groups, so it follows streets and creeks but is not an association or historic-district line.
CivicScout counts Raleigh Police reported offenses that carry a location, traffic crashes and open 311 requests inside the Five Points boundary for any searched address. RPD withholds the location of most sexual offenses and every child-abuse report, so located counts understate violent crime. Police place incidents on the block’s street, so offenses within about 30 meters of the outline are counted, and an offense on a street shared by two neighborhoods counts toward both. Raleigh publishes no code violations feed, so this page does not cover one.
