Search SomertonCrimes cover an approximate half-mile area around the center of Somerton (the crime and permit datasets aren't tagged by neighborhood, so we use a consistent radius), over the last 12 months. Crime is compared per resident (rate), so a large, busy area can have a high total but an average or below-average rate; violation counts are compared to the average Philadelphia neighborhood. Source: City of Philadelphia open data (OpenDataPhilly). Philadelphia Police data places each incident at the 100-block level, and in the year to October 2026 about 1 in 7 homicide records (23 of 170) carry no coordinates, and more of the most recent ones (4 of 19 in the last 60 days), so a location-based count understates homicides near any given address. Incidents handled only by campus police (Penn, Drexel, Temple), SEPTA Transit Police or Fairmount Park rangers may not appear. Open data updates on a delay, so the most recent records may be incomplete. For general information only — not legal, financial, or real-estate advice.
