About Greater Grand Crossing

Greater Grand Crossing is a community area on Chicago's South Side, bounded by 63rd Street to the north, 79th Street to the south, Cottage Grove Avenue and Stony Island Avenue to the east, and State Street and the railroad tracks to the west. The neighborhood takes its name from the former grade crossing of the Lake Shore and Michigan Southern Railway and the Illinois Central Railroad.
