Search this neighborhoodThe North End is a small peninsula in the harbor and one of Boston's oldest neighborhoods. Its narrow streets, with Hanover Street and Salem Street as the main commercial corridors, are lined with 18th- and 19th-century brick buildings, and it has long been associated with Italian-American families, bakeries and restaurants.

Langone Park and Puopolo Playground sit on the harbor side. The neighborhood is served by the Haymarket and North Station stops on its edges and by MBTA bus routes 4 and 92.
